I just discovered this resource and I have already found some helpful WordPress tutorials and information that we can use to assist our WordPress clients. Publicize is just what the doctor ordered for helping our NFP organizations get the word out about their work and achievements. Much appreciated.

I have updated my wordpress to the newest version; however, the dashboard button is not the same as seen in the video above. All the button does is open a page of information and things about the blog, but nowhere can I find the publicize are. Any help?

The Publicize feature is only available for WordPress.com-hosted blogs. For similar features, take a spin through the plugin directory and you should be able to find some solutions to help do the same things.

Are there any plans on making this available as a plugin for self-hosted WordPress users?
Most of the ‘similar functionality’ plugins in the repo use 10+ rows in options table, offer to add sponsored message to every fifth tweet, etc.

I agree Kaspars this would be a very good little plugin for self hosted WordPress. I wonder if it is going to be available soon?

Publicize for self-hosted WP would be great. Plus, WP would benefit from the increased use of the wp.me shortener.
