  1. This is a simple overview of writing plugins. I’m not a developer (I focus on WordPress administration and front-end development), but this helped me better understand how plugins work. I had heard from others that it’s better to put specific functionality in plugins rather than a theme’s functions.php, so it was good to hear the logic behind that advice.
